Sharon has 30 years of drug development experience in the biotech industry. She has filed over 40 INDs for new molecular entities and 10+ BLAs/NDAs. She has deep expertise in technical operations and extensive experience leading broad drug development programs. Prior to joining Altos, Sharon served as the Senior Vice President of Technical Development at Ultragenyx Pharmaceuticals. She built an outstanding Technical Development organization from scratch covering 10 development programs across multiple modalities including mRNAs, ASOs, proteins, antibodies, and small molecules. Prior to this, Sharon has served in increasing capacities at Biogen, Genentech and AbbVie. She holds a PhD in Biophysical Chemistry, a MS in Biochemistry, and a BS in Chemistry.
